Spot the trend spots - THE GRAND DURGA PUJOS IN KOLKATA

So this year I had an amazingly blessed experience to witness the very grand celebration of feminism , independence , culture , royalty , religious belief the ever so talked about and the very much holy - the grand Durga Pujos in Kolkata.

Have been in Kolkata since 4 years now but I always went back home ( Kalimpong ) or planned some short vacation during the Durga pujos time , this year I was planning from early that I would be staying back because I wouldn't want to think about future now and regret later so this was the ultimate year and somehow I made it. Worth the wait and I definitely had a great time.

Kolkata has known to be so culturally forward with rich heritage, food and fashion that is uplifting the society in a better way. The world might get way modern and chill but Kolkata will never drift away from its authentic touch that has so much of class. What speciality this place has is something out of the world.

Durga Puja, also called Durgotsava, is an annual Hindufestival in the Indian subcontinent that higlights the goddess Durga. It is particularly popular in West BengalOdishaAssamJharkhandBiharTripuraBangladesh and the diaspora from this region. The festival is observed in the Hindu calendar month of ashvin ,typically September or October of the Gregorian calendar.

A multi-day festival that features elaborate temple and stage decorations (pandals), scripture recitation, performance arts, revelry and processions, Durga Puja is particularly observed by Hindus in eastern and northeastern states of India, in Bangladesh and in Nepal where it is called Dashain. It is a major festival in the Shaktism tradition of Hinduism across India and Shakta Hindu diaspora.

This year Kolkata celebrated grand and great like every year, the pandals were huge and such a pleasure to the eyes and one blessed experience I have had so far. The festive vibes all around and the city lights makes the city look even more beautiful and graceful.

Also one of the best things I have noticed in Kolkata is the amount of respect this city has to all the religions , definitely so liberal in real terms.

Christmas is celebrated in  the same grand manner when Park Street becomes everybody's Christmas Hub , Islam festivals like  id and other related festivals are also celebrated here with huge cultural diversity and positive response from the entire city.

Kolkata should and is definitely setting examples for the rest of the country in every way.

Practically promoting , unity as one single power to achieve the goals for better India.

Infact , the young India !

You know there's negativity everywhere but  by the grace of god we don't see rapes , murders or racial discrimination happening everyday in the city unlike some other metro cities.

I witnessed a lot of young girls and women going for pandal hopping until late and they were safe and happy.

So by now you can well estimate that Kolkata is pretty much safe !

Also the uber/ola/zoom car facilities made everybody's life easier here especially during the pujos time !

Shout out to each one of these service companies.

Okay ? Ask me about the traffic.

Most of you all would always complain about how sick and monotonous Kolkata's traffic can get but that's no way we can blame the traffic police departments , they are not getting new cars and driving on the roads and highways.

As far as what I see , the rules and regulations Kolkata police traffic has is absolutely fine and they deserve a big and clear shoutout  and appreciation.

This year they had student volunteers to help and assist them during the pujos and in turn they were paid , what a way to encourage these young boys I must say.

Kudos to the Kolkata police traffic department for handling the pujos crowd so well.

Ending this by wishing everybody good health and prosperity !
