A lill bit of KANYE in KOLKATA won't hurt !

Namastay ReadersπŸ’Ž

I have been way busy this week then I ever was and finally I'm getting time to post the first blogpost of the year 2017.

Apparently the best time to update the first post of the year on my blog.

Spot the trend presents " A lill bit of Kanye in Kolkata won't hurt "

Certainly 2017 is going to be super challenging , so many up coming projects related to my hometown-  Kalimpong and then accordingly some selected ones in Kolkata as well. Events & charity work on Humans of Kalimpong's new social project is the big time goal Im looking forward to and hopefully I will succeed .

Since the last three  years I have been promoting different places of Kolkata through my blog and it's very obvious that I love this city - Kolkata it is . For the first post of the year I tried making everything look casual and cool.

Most of the readers and people who actually see " bloggers " is that they think it is very necessary for the bloggers to look good and get properly dressed every time , my Instagram also shows so many bloggers/ fashion enthusiast trying hard to get everything on point , from the outfit , background to the pose.

They have so many followers and readers yet they fail to convey one simple message of " Slaying , but slaying and rocking your life being YOURSELF first "

I obviously worship and look upto so many fashion icons and  celebrities but at the end of the day I choose to be ME & I choose to wear what I like.

For this shoot I chose to promote one of the very fascinating places here in Kolkata - Sudder Street.

Sudder Street is a street in Kolkata famous for varieities of hotels in lesser price if I have to compare it with the other places in Kolkata and basically foreign tourists often prefer the living places in this street during their stay in Kolkata.

There are a number of cheap eateries, foreign currency exchange kiosks and travel agencies in Sudder street. The area around Sudder Street is notorious for drug peddlers, who supply contraband drugs at cheap rates .

The street starts exactly opposite the Fire Brigade Headquarters on Free School Streetand ends towards the entrance of Indian Museum on Chowringhee Road.

There is also a building on the turning of Hartford Ln. off Sudder St. where Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore lived for a while and penned a few poems.

And of course , "A little bit of Kanye in Kolkata won't hurt "wouldn't have been possible without thePhotographer  Amitabh Porashar.

SPOT THE TREND SPOTS : KOLKATA FASHION WALK 2 by Tribonista , The Swiss Laundry and PenTwister

Namastae everybody , welcome to my official lifestyle blog SPOT THE TREND .  When I started blogging 4 years back , I had no idea on how influential and important this can get when time passes by , certainly it's not just about creativity, writing skills , photography or your public status on your social profiles. Blogging has so much to do with reaching with the mass and influencing them to the core every single day. Fashion is always where my heart is but the reason Spot the trend had to go beyond fashion is because people were more curious to know about the events that I have been organising since 3 years after I joined Kolkata - oh what a city it is ❤️ Hence I changed the Fashion blog to a lifestyle blog covering up Fashion , food , events and skincare giving a wide ride range of absolute information on what's new and what's trending ! Currently based in Kolkata full time , I have had a wonderful and a learning experience till date with the blogging community here . Als...

10 Best places to party in Kolkata !

Hello and a warm Namaste everybody , welcome to my lifestyle blog -  SPOT THE TREND . Moving on to the city had been so challenging when I took this decision three years back but now when I see on the little things that I have achieved or learnt so far I have no regrets at all . The city life has polished me to become a WARRIOR  and deal with my own battle with confidence and self esteem. I started young at 17 and have been doing events here in Kolkata and in my hometown Kalimpong since there years.  Weekend Night outs , Fashion shows , Northeast events and some social events too .  But to be honest I think Fashion shows are my baseline and definitely love of my life . I  have already organised more than 50 + events and definitely more to come. When I started it few years back , a lot of people discouraged me and surprisingly they were also from the same field of events. I didn't want to be their COMPETITOR to be really honest here  , I just wanted a simple...

Miss Nepal 2016

Namaste everybody , this post is to highlight my readers with the new Miss Nepal winners for this year 2016.  Not just because I blog about social events as well but beauty pageants are something that I have always appreciated . It is one of the best platforms for the women today to shine out and bring their capabilities in the stage and make the most of it .    -This year I was very regular with the miss Nepal 2016 details that I had collected online & my special Thankyou to M&S vmag for covering the entire miss Nepal journey and letting the common viewers know about the miss Nepal pageant procedure. This year my top favourites were Roshni Khatri , Srijana Regmi and Asmi Shrestha .   Unfortunately Srijana couldn't make it to the top 3 , but she has been able to win a lot of appreciation and love with her confidence and charm.  Asmi Shrestha   was crowned as   Miss Nepal 2016   on the scintillating grand finale held on April 8, 2016 at the...
